Sr. Business Development Specialist

Summary:  The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying and soliciting new sales business with all approved indirect lending sources, primarily for our Go Green financing program in partnership with the State of California. This position develops and maintains ongoing sales relationships with new and existing business partners and utilizes its expertise in sales and business development to drive marketing and promotional strategies to achieve established goals and add value to the organization.
 
Profile:
 
  • Promotes and solicits Credit Union indirect lending programs to generate new business relationships, primarily with merchants/contractors that perform projects/installs that qualify for Go Green financing.
  • Provides detailed executive summaries to management of sales visits including discussing industry trends, market impact of competitors, and recommendations to improve lending penetration.
  • Uses expertise in sales to analyze industry pertinent reports to establish effective sales strategy.
  • Uses system tools to analyze data and identify trends for business development.
  • Effectively communicates pertinent changes and accurate indirect lending program information to internal/external business partners.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Maintains a sound understanding of Credit Union’s indirect lending programs.
  • Completes ongoing trainings, maintains up-to-date knowledge of Consumer Lending policies and procedures, and Credit Union products and services.
  • Professionally represents Credit Union at community events as required.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve departmental processes to enhance efficiency.

Reporting and Experience:
 
  • Reports directly to assigned Consumer Lending management.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years related work experience; or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years equivalent work experience; or equivalent work experience’
 
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed offsite in assigned communities/territories.  Requires travel to dealers/merchants in assigned territory on a daily basis.  Ability to travel to offsite locations and attend events during evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
 
Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate.
 
Participation in TCU Driving Program is required.  Incumbents will be required to furnish their driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles, proof of insurance and sign an authorization so TCU can obtain records directly from the Department of Motor Vehicles.  Subject to any limitations imposed by law, full cooperation with any request for records or request for an authorization to seek such records is required.
 
 
Compensation: Base salary starting range is commensurate with, experience.  
      
  • $95,365.92/annually - $117,811.20/annually
