Steel Estimator - Work From Home

  • Perform accurate take-offs using Excel.
  • Prepare and submit detailed steel estimates, including weight, materials, painting, and welding quantities, in a timely manner.
  • Utilize Excel templates and associated playbooks to create cost models and project budgets.
  • Interpret 3D drawings and technical plans, ensuring precision in structural and architectural steel estimations.
  • Develop and improve estimation processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Work with Adobe, CRM, and MS SharePoint tools to collaborate and manage version control.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and project specifications to maintain competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Attend internal calls to align project priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure clarity and accuracy in all estimations.
  • Support efforts to scale quoting capacity, helping the business reach its growth targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in steel estimating is a must-have.
  • Experience with take-offs using Excel.
  • Strong understanding of structural and architectural steel components and projects.
  • Ability to interpret 3D drawings and technical documentation.
