Job Description

The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for performing vascular sonography which assists physicians in the diagnosis of medical conditions in patients. This position may require participation in call rotation and call-back testing based on location.

Education
Graduate of a 2–4-year Allied Health training program required.

Experience
Two (2) years training experience in Vascular Ultrasound preferred.
Experience with carotid, abdominal aorta, visceral, renal artery, lower & upper extremity arterial, venous insufficiency exams, hemodialysis imaging and ABIs is preferred.
Recent graduates of accredited sonography programs are encouraged to apply.

Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Vascular registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS), required. New graduates must obtain registry within (6) months of hire.
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications
Must be available for participation in call rotation of call back testing if required at work location.
Must have the physical, mental and technical skills necessary to perform diagnostic testing of all ages, neonatal through adult, as required.
Ability to communicate with physicians, peers and patients on a professional and technical level.
