Overview:

The Senior Designer, Brand Campaigns, Social role will support the Walmart Creative Studio in concept through execution for brand campaigns that translate across multiple channels, but are firmly rooted in social-first thinking and execution. Our ideal candidate must be a strategically minded problem solver, conceptual thinker and able to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. They should be organized, detail-oriented and exhibit outstanding creative judgement while dreaming big and pushing boundaries. 

In this role, the Senior Designer will partner with Copywriter(s) and work alongside Art Directors and creative leadership to connect the overarching marketing strategy, social strategy, and execute campaign content at the scale of Walmart and the speed of social. This role works collaboratively with other team leads (within creative & cross-functionally) and focuses primarily on social brand campaigns but will flex onto other 360 campaign work as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Ideate, create, and execute culturally relevant social-first creative work. Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, strategy and production teams, as well as external partners where needed, to ensure creative cohesion at every touchpoint.
    • Adhere to brand guidelines and design best practices
    • Assist creative leadership and marketing pitch decks to gain alignment setting the team up for success.
    • Self-directed / critical thinker
    • Expert in social platforms and best practices
    • Trend Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, culture and consumer behaviors to inform creative decisions and maintain our brand’s competitive edge.
    • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and craft throughout the conceptual and execution process, ensuring that the final work meets or exceeds expectations.
    • Attend & assist production and post-production for both video and static as needed.
    • Ability to design assets and brand campaigns as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience in professional advertising agency Design experience
  • Exceptional portfolio featuring social-first design work
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and software including the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides, Slack and Figma. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect across Walmart Creative Studio. 
  • Organized with diligent follow-through on every task.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
