At Wipfli, we're on the lookout for a talented Senior Audit Accountant, Governmental in Augusta who will help us deliver exceptional value and insights to our clients. Our team thrives on collaboration, and we believe that our people are central to our success. As a Senior Audit Accountant, you will dive into auditing financial statements and quarterly information, while also being involved in pre-audit planning to effectively identify risks and design audit procedures. You’ll have your hands in real work—reviewing internal controls, and policies, and performing audits in accordance with recognized standards including GAAS and GAAP. We're not just about numbers; we want someone who can build strong relationships with clients and mentor our incoming staff and interns. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you will encounter various client complexities and must navigate them smoothly. You’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and ideally a CPA certification, but we also welcome those actively pursuing it.
