About the Job

A rare opportunity to join our newly formed Innovation Squad in a hands-on role where you will be using human-centered design to bring Wisr’s vision and purpose to life through the creation of new products, ventures, and services. You’ll also form a part of our small and established Product Design team.

You will be working on a range of exciting initiatives including rapidly exploring and validating multiple product concepts. This is not just an experimentation role, you’ll also be identifying the next product or feature to be launched and actively progress it from idea to launch and scale.

Things move pretty quickly at Wisr, so organisation is key and you will be comfortable scoping design work and setting expectations around milestones and what your squad and stakeholders can expect and when.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end innovation initiatives, moving from opportunity framing to validated concepts, and through to delivery.

• Shape early-stage value propositions, leveraging research, insights, and strategic design to define and visualise the product vision.

• Drive a high standard of visual and interaction design, ensuring experiences are not only functional but also delightful and on-brand.

• Apply a systems lens to product design, balancing customer needs with business objectives and technical feasibility.

• Bring bold creativity and a customer-led mindset to generate fresh product concepts that challenge the status quo.

• Strong visual design craft—able to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and cohesive design systems.

• Conduct lean yet rigorous user research (qualitative and quantitative), synthesising insights into actionable directions and iterating at pace.

• Facilitate collaborative sessions to align stakeholders, frame problems, and co-design solutions (e.g. design sprints, workshops, planning sessions).

• Create living artefacts (e.g. journeys, blueprints, prototypes) that evolve with the work and support stakeholder engagement and alignment.

• Partner closely with Product, Growth, and Engineering to test, measure and evolve concepts through continuous experimentation.

• Mentor other designers and contribute to elevating the design practice through coaching, craft leadership and design excellence advocacy.

About you

You are an ambidextrous designer—someone equally strong in strategic thinking and detailed execution. You have the ability to move fluidly from defining product and service propositions at a conceptual level, to designing and delivering high-quality, user-centered experiences at a detailed UX and UI level.

Working in an ambiguous, everchanging environment is where you thrive, and you enjoy iterating at pace with a keen focus on delivering new products, services or features. Ideally, you have had experience working in an agency or scaleup environment with the ability to work dynamically with various stakeholders across different skillsets.

You’ll also be/have:

• 5+ years’ experience in product design roles, ideally across scaleups and/or venture studios

• Demonstrated and prior experience with launching new products or ventures essential

• Ambidextrous thinker: strong in both strategic proposition design and detailed UI/UX execution

• Confident in research design and synthesis, with fluency in tools like Figma, Miro, Dovetail

• Excellent communicator and storyteller with the ability to form and defend an evidence-based validated point of view

• Comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation; thrives in fast-moving, lean environments

• A strong systems thinking and product mindset, with a bias to impact over process
