WSP is excited to announce an opening for the Electrical CADD Drafting and Design Support Assistant position at our Newark, NJ office. In this position, you will work hand-in-hand with a Senior Draftsman and collaborate with Systems Engineers to create technical drawings for Traction Power and OCS projects, ensuring all designs are not only precise but also adhere to city, state, and federal standards. Your day-to-day will consist of compiling data from various sources, using CADD software, and even learning the ropes of creating complex designs to resolve discrepancies. You'll be responsible for verifying calculations and actively participating in cross-functional teams, which makes your role essential in achieving project goals. A critical part of your job will involve engaging with clients and contractors to coordinate design reviews, so strong communication skills are key!
