The Role

Angle Health is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Regulatory Operations Manager to join our Legal and Regulatory team. This role will be critical in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations for primarily self-funded health plans. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing expert regulatory guidance, preparing regulatory reports for Angle Health and its clients, and staying abreast of evolving healthcare regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Reporting & Documentation

    • Prepare and submit accurate, timely regulatory reports for Angle Health and its clients, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.

    • Manage reporting processes, tracking deliverables, and ensuring data completeness.

    • Support regulatory audits by maintaining comprehensive documentation of regulatory & compliance activities.

  • Stakeholder Support & Communication

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory-related inquiries from members, clients, and brokers.

    • Provide clear and actionable guidance on regulatory requirements and compliance processes.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Account Management, to address compliance needs.

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis

    • Continuously monitor changes in federal and state healthcare regulations affecting Angle Health and its clients.

    • Evaluate regulatory changes and recommend actionable strategies for implementation.

    • Maintain up-to-date documentation on regulatory processes and requirements for fully insured and self-funded health plans.

  • Process Development & Improvement

    • Develop and maintain scalable processes for regulatory compliance and reporting.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency and accuracy.

    • Provide training and tools to internal teams to support compliance-related operations.

  • Risk Management & Compliance Infrastructure

    • Assist in identifying potential areas of compliance risk and support the development of mitigation strategies.

    • Implement cross-functional compliance initiatives in collaboration with departmental leaders.

What We Value:

  • Deep understanding of health insurance regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply new regulations.

  • 6+ years of experience in healthcare operations, healthcare compliance, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of state Departments of Insurance (DOIs), ERISA-governed health plans, and small group fully insured products.

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to changing environments.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to finding root causes and solutions.

  • Proficiency with technology tools such as Slack, Jira, and GSuite, with the ability to quickly master new systems.

  • Growth mindset and a strong work ethic, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.


The salary range for this job opportunity is $80,000 to $120,000 per year, which is the amount Angle Health anticipates paying for this position at the time of this job posting. The actual base salary offered may differ and will depend on various factors such as geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as internal equity.
