Role Description:
You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities):
- Design and implement LMR systems (conventional and trunked) in VHF, UHF, and 7/800 MHz bands
- Conduct frequency planning and secure FCC licensing for statewide LMR systems
- Ensure compliance with FCC Part 90 regulations and 4.9 GHz migration and re-licensing
- Coordinate with FCC-certified frequency coordinators and 7/800 MHz Regional Planning Committees (RPCs)
- Collaborate on spectrum sharing agreements with Canada
- Support statewide public safety communications projects
- 10 or more years of experience in LMR system design and implementation
- 5 or more years of experience in statewide LMR system planning and deployment
- 5 or more years of experience in FCC licensing and frequency coordination
- Expertise in public safety communications and regulatory compliance
- Experience with FCC-certified frequency coordinators and 7/800 MHz RPCs
- Strong knowledge of FCC regulations, including Part 90 and 4.9 GHz rules
- Familiarity with international coordination rules with Canada

- Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
