Website Manager

As a Website Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Ascension’s main website. Your experience managing projects and relationships and your knowledge of key performance and usability metrics is key to this position. You are expected to propose and implement growth plans to continue to improve the website for all users.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute website plans. Develop a comprehensive plan finding areas of growth and opportunities for Ascension’s website in support of our overall goals. This includes content creation, design within the Ascension brand, hosting and domain management, security, assistance with marketing campaigns, compliance, and implementing best practices to improve the overall user experience.

  • Project and relationship management. Evaluate and manage vendors and freelancers to ensure website tasks are completed, and projects are achieved. Lead cross-unit collaboration with product managers and marketing managers to ensure web needs are met and in alignment with Ascension’s goals, mission, and brand. Work closely with customer support to ensure a smooth checkout process and implementation of e-commerce best practices.

  • Develop and achieve metrics. Develop growth metrics in conjunction with business units leveraging content marketing and usability best practices. Ensure industry-standard metrics for performance and accessibility are met when working with designers and developers.
  • Experience with Shopify is required.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic publishing industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
  • Expertise with web metrics is preferred.
  • 5+ years managing a high-volume website is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Occasional travel to Exton, PA, is required.
