Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Aspire Medical Staffing is in search of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide services at Fort Cavazos, TX supporting our military, their families, and retirees.

START DATE:

ASAP. Credentialing approximately 8 weeks.

LOCATION:

Fort Hood (Killeen, TX) , just north of Austin. Most providers live north of Austin, Austin proper, or even farther south.

DEPARTMENT:

8 ORs, 1 GI suite, OB with 100-120 deliveries/month

CASES:

ASA 1-2, with the rare 3. General, ortho, ENT, healthy peds, DaVinci, endoscopy, OB. No heads, hearts, thoracic, vascular, spine, transplant, IR, or Cath lab.

SCHEDULE:

  • The MTF is a 24/7 facility therefore hours of performance shall be as set forth by the applicable Department Chief or his/her designated Government representative.
  • Shifts may include 8, 10, or 12 hours, Sunday through Saturday, and may include weekends and holidays. The actual schedule will be determined and scheduled by the Government supervisor (or their designated Government representative) and is subject to change and/or adjustment due to changing mission requirements.
  • A minimum 30-minute and not to exceed one (1)-hour unpaid meal break is provided during the shift (as determined by the department for each skillset) which is not paid by the Government.
  • Services will not exceed 80 hours in a two (2) week period.
  • At no time shall an individual CRNA perform consecutive 24-hour shifts.
  • Degree: Doctoral degree from an accredited CRNA program
  • Valid RN unencumbered state license with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse action, in any state in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • current NBCRNA
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Current OB / labor epidural experience (3 months or more in the past 12 months)

PRACTICE:

Autonomous. Help is there if you need it. Docs do their own cases. Do your own blocks if desired or let the person assigned to blocks for the day do it. Great collegial/respected relationship with everyone, including surgeons.

  • Hour Rate: $154.50/hour
  • Sign-on and Retention Bonus: $15,000
  • Time Worked-Time-Off: 8 weeks Off (1760 hours worked per year)
