As a Court Security Officer (CSO), your role is vital in providing armed protection within courthouses, ensuring safety and security under the USMS contract. Your day-to-day tasks will involve a variety of responsibilities, such as managing entrance control where you’ll operate security screening equipment to detect any prohibited items. You’ll also perform roving patrols of court facilities and oversee stationary posts, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems. The job doesn't stop there; you will be tasked with escorting judges, court staff, and jurors safely to and from their designated locations. Traffic management and enforcing law and order is a significant aspect of this role, guaranteeing that only authorized personnel access vital areas of the courthouse. Detailed reporting will also become second nature, as you’ll need to document incidents or issues that arise, ensuring we're always on top of security measures. To be successful, you should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least three years of experience as a certified law enforcement officer, or equivalent military experience. Strong communication skills in English are essential.
