Dietitian-Recipe Developer

Position Summary:   Core responsibilities include developing customer-focused menus, recipes, diet extensions, and texture modification recipes in Ben E. Keith's menu software platform. This part-time role will focus on creating and adding innovative, nutritionally balanced recipes to our online platform that we provide as a service to our customers. The employee will develop and maintain a coordinated focus on customer training and technical support, including the system's HIPAA-compliant resident/patient preference and nutritional assessment components. Recipe development and data entry within our menu system are the primary responsibilities of this position.   Key Responsibilities: Create and develop standardized recipes tailored to healthcare and institutional food service settings Enter recipes and menus within the menu software platform Design and test recipes that meet various therapeutic and modified texture diet requirements Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output Assign diet extensions for therapeutic and diet textures for recipes entered in menu software Provide complete nutrient analysis for all recipes Maintain ingredient, allergen, and nutrition information in menu systems Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and determine deadlines Assist with customer training on recipe functionality within the platform Respond to customer inquiries about recipes and nutrition information Participate in quality assurance testing of recipes Stay current with food trends and dietary guidelines relevant to healthcare settings Other duties may be assigned as needed   Knowledge & Skills: Active dietitian license required Strong understanding of therapeutic diets and texture modifications Knowledge of recipe scaling and standardization Creativity in recipe development while adhering to nutritional guidelines Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments, and tasks Excellent time management skills with the ability to provide timely and quality responses Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications Proficiency in menu or recipe-building software preferred Experience with nutrient analysis software Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail Must be able to work successfully in a team environment under tight deadlines Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office Full Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills   Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:   Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required Current Dietitian License required; Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) status preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition or food service setting Experience in menu planning, standardized recipes, and preparation for food service operations Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment, food production, and HACCP principles Experience creating and implementing special diets for food allergies and medical conditions Knowledge of the federal and state rules and regulations for menus served in long-term care facilities, assisted living, independent communities, acute healthcare, daycare, correction, and senior center settings   Hours and Work Location: Part-time position (25-30 hours per week) On-site work required during standard business hours Flexible scheduling within business hours may be arranged
