Product Design (UX/UI) Intern

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Design Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about design, UX/UI, and digital experiences to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You’ll be working closely with our product and innovation team on various projects, from creating bold visual assets to enhancing our evolving design eco-system. We are Canvas8, a strategic insights practice with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and Manila. We help our clients understand people so they can make better business decisions.

Our work investigates the hidden insights in everyday life – from the psychology of boredom to teenage make-up rituals and why Barbiecore is a Gen Y thing – and makes them meaningful for brands. About the role

As a Product Design Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative digital experiences that enhance our products and services. Collaborating closely with the Product and Innovation team, as well as other key stakeholders, you’ll contribute to high-quality design solutions – whether through crafting compelling product mockups, refining our evolving design system, or supporting the development of AI-driven features. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in Figma, UX research, and product development while making a real impact.

Day-to-day

  • Design product and feature mockups for internal and external presentations
  • Collaborate with engineers and innovation managers to create engaging digital user experiences
  • Learn about and contribute to the development of the Canvas8 design system
  • Assist in creating and maintaining user guides and product manuals
  • Enhance your Figma skills through diverse design projects
  • Support product QA processes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Work on end-to-end projects to expand Canvas8’s offerings, including AI initiatives
  • Help build and maintain an internal product hub for product education
  • Develop compelling digital assets to promote product team updates
  • Contribute to UX research and insights to improve the overall product experience
  • Recent graduate or final-year student in Product Design, Service System Design, or a related field 
  • Basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software
  • Understanding of responsive digital design and multi-device user experiences
  • Ability to simplify complex requirements into clear, user-friendly designs
  • Experience or genuine interest in developing sophisticated UI within Brand Guidelines
  • Passion for UX/UI excellence and user-centered product design
  • Interest in human insights is a plus
  • 3 months paid internship
