Sr. Backend Engineer

POSITION SUMMARYSr Backend Engineer.Remote RoleGOLANG, TypeScript, ReactDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing systems in the Developer Portal primarily using Golang, but sometimes also in TypeScript and React- Lead the implementation of new features, improvements, and integrations to drive the growth and success of the Developer Portal- Design and develop secure, reliable, and well-documented backend service APIs for internal and external consumption- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, ensuring platform stability, reliability, and security- Participate in code reviews, and foster a team-wide environment that welcomes constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards- Collaborate with Catalyte client services representative on how to add value continuously- Provide coaching and mentorship to other team members are required.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSSkills:Key requirements:- Strong experience in golang (someone who doesn't need ramp up time in the language is ideal)- Strong experience with distributed architectures and building/maintaining microservices- Strong experience with monitoring and metrics tools to diagnose and troubleshoot issues (Datadog obviously preferred, but related platform like New Relic or Prometheuis ok)- Capable of handing and gaining clarity on ambiguous requirements (someone who instinctively asks a lot of questions to get where they need to go)Nice to have:- Good instincts around cross-functional communication- Strong product engineer (someone who cares about the customer experience and has an opinion on how dev tooling should work)COMPANY INFORMATIONClick here to access our website for more information about our company.
