OUR WORK MODEL 

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from our Boston office 1 day per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. 

YOUR ROLE 

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with some of Cognism's highest-profile customers. You will oversee monthly renewals while proactively identifying upsell opportunities, expanding engagement within these key accounts. This role requires a strong new sales/hunting approach to drive expansion and maximize revenue from our most strategic customers. 

YOUR CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES 

  • Drive Customer Renewals – Manage and execute renewal processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing retention revenue. 
  • Expand High-Profile Accounts – Identify and engage with new buying centers within key customer accounts to uncover upsell opportunities. 
  • Proactively Prospect within Accounts – Use a hunting approach to identify and develop new sales opportunities within our most strategic customer relationships. 
  • Collaborate with Customer Success – Work closely with Customer Success Managers to align on customer health, strategizing expansion and retention efforts. 
  • Lead Commercial Negotiations – Confidently run pricing and contract discussions, securing the best commercial outcomes for Cognism and its customers. 
  • Deliver Product Demos – Showcase new feature rollouts and tailored solutions to demonstrate the value of Cognism's product suite. 
  • Maintain Pipeline Discipline – Keep detailed and structured records of all customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasting insights within our CRM. 

OUR EXPECTATIONS 

  • Experience & Industry Knowledge – Minimum of 4 years as an Account Manager in B2B SaaS companies. 
  • Sales & Negotiation Expertise – Proven ability to drive revenue growth through renewals and upsells. 
  • New Sales & Hunting Mentality – Demonstrated success in proactively identifying and closing new business opportunities within an existing customer base. 
  • Customer-Centric Approach – Ability to build rapport with customers, understand their challenges, and position Cognism as a valuable solution. 
  • Pipeline Management – Experience in managing a large book of business (c. $1m - $3m) with a disciplined and organized approach to sales processes. 
  • Growth Mindset – Ambitious, results-driven, and continuously seeking ways to improve sales performance. 
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – A team player who works well cross-functionally and contributes to the overall success of the organization.
