Overview:

 

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Weekend Option performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans that use a magnetic field and radio waves to take pictures of patient's body's interior. These MRI scans are used to investigate or diagnose conditions that affect soft tissue such as tumors or brain disorders. This role is responsible for accurate image acquisition and collaborates with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information for patient care. This role has a weekend option, in which the staff member is required to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate. Talent Pool; Allied Health

Responsibilities:

 

 

Performs complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts.
Reviews and assesses patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
Operates and maintains advanced MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure precise and reliable imaging results.
Collaborates with medical professionals during MRI procedures, providing real-time imaging support to ensure accurate positioning and optimal imaging quality.
Records and documents all MRI scans and associated information in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying charges and addressing discrepancies for smooth workflow.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT(MR), ARMRIT(MR) BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross, or AHA Healthcare Provider ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT(MR) acceptable
