The Assistant Registrar Opportunity:

Reporting to the Nolan Registrar within the Office of Student Services (OSS), the Assistant Registrar works collaboratively with the OSS team to provide academic record maintenance; enrollment and course scheduling planning; transfer credit evaluation; degree tracking; systems updates; and support for Nolan School undergraduates, staff, and faculty, making referrals to campus resources when appropriate.
The Assistant Registrar responds to complex telephone, electronic and walk-in inquiries from prospective and current students, faculty, staff and visitors; distributes informational forms and documents with instructions; responds to routine and non-routine inquiries; serves as reference for policies and procedures; has contact with individuals inside and outside of University on highly confidential matters.
In addition, the Assistant Registrar may assume other responsibilities as necessary and assigned, such as academic and petition review as well as school wide committees that assess relevancy of existing policies and makes recommendations for improvement. The position requires collaboration with departments within and outside the Nolan School (e.g. Admissions, Bursar, University Registrar, etc).
Enrollment representatives within Cornell’s colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University’s enrollment goals.
