Position Overview: 

As a Learning and Education Instructional Designer at PaySpace, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing engaging and effective learning experiences for our customers and internal stakeholders. Working closely with subject matter experts, you will create comprehensive training materials that enhance the understanding and utilisation of our Payroll and HR solution. Your creativity, instructional design expertise, and attention to detail will be essential in creating content that meets the diverse learning needs of our clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive course outlines tailored to various user roles. 

  • Content Creation: Create engaging and interactive learning content, such as e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and assessments, using instructional design principles and cutting-edge e-learning authoring tools that effectively communicates key concepts, features, and functionalities of our payroll software products. 

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify learning objectives, target audience characteristics, and training requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. 

  • Instructional Design: Apply instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices to design effective learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and skill acquisition. 

  • User Experience (UX) Design: Collaborate with UX designers to ensure that learning materials are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with the overall user experience of the PaySpace platform. 

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews of learning materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations. 

  • Ad hoc Training Delivery: Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, virtual webinars, and workshops for customers and internal colleagues, providing expert guidance and support to enhance learning outcomes. 

  • Evaluation and Assessment: Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs, gather feedback from stakeholders, and continuously improve learning materials and delivery methods. 

  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including training guides, user manuals, and FAQs, to support the implementation and ongoing usage of the PaySpace platform. 

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, customer support, and sales, to ensure that learning initiatives align with product development roadmaps and customer needs. 

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and milestones, and effectively communicate project status and progress. 

  • Upskilling Team Members: Serve as a mentor and resource for other team members, providing guidance on instructional design principles, e-learning development tools, and best practices. Empower colleagues to enhance their skills and capabilities in instructional design and training delivery. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design, e-learning development, or training program development, preferably in the software industry or related field. 

  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise360, Vyond, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools. 

  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and learning technologies. 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 

  •  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences. 

  • Knowledge of payroll processes, HRIS systems, or related software solutions is preferred.
