The Registered Dietitian at Discovery Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing the Dietary component in association with the Clinical Model at the Center for Discovery. This includes meeting with patients weekly to develop individualized meal plans, conducting dietary intakes on admission, and facilitating nutrition groups. Additionally, you will document client progress, communicate with treatment teams, and ensure appropriate dietary interventions are in place.

To become a Registered Dietitian at Discovery Behavioral Health, candidates need a bachelor's degree with an appropriate emphasis and have completed an accredited dietetic internship. While one year of dietary counseling experience is preferred, those who have finished their internship and are eligible for the registration exam may also be considered. A thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field is essential.
