EDAG Engineering UK is a small but growing collaborative team who are currently focusing on some key UK

Customers whilst at the same time having access to large multidisciplinary teams globally. Within the group, we are

over 8500 employees located across the world whose core business is to provide engineering solutions to major

automotive companies and their suppliers.

Due to the continuing success and growth of the business, we are look for a Project Engineer - Seats to join the team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our continuing expansion and work with our key customers. This role is based in customer site.

 

Key Responsibilities:  This is will make you grow

  • Act as the key interface between EDAG and the customer(s) for Seating with the ability to professional interact with clients on-site
  • Support meetings, e.g. steering committees, project reviews, start-up meetings, etc.
  • Direct and liaise with local and EDAG Group technical design / engineering resource to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation
  • Maintain customer’s part release system
  • Collaborate with seating suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
  • Controlling data maturity and status including recording and tracking issues.
  • Tracking of seating targets including function, timing, performance, cost weight and quality.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues.
  • Support prototype, pre- and production vehicle builds.
  • Provide the interface for all functions of programme team.
  • Demonstrate EDAG's excellent reputation while working directly and seamlessly with customers on their projects.

  • At least Bachelor’s degree, Chartered status preferred
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Ability to overcome cultural barriers
  • Demonstrate strong customer, team & supplier management skills
  • An ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines
  • Ability to identify key project attributes targets related to the role and support through the appropriate level of vehicle/system analysis
  • Relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various Seat parts
  • Ability to perform Complete Seat packaging study of seating components
  • Demonstrate FMEA and root cause analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, ideally Green Belt qualified
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
  • Mircosoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio
