The Opportunity

EDF Wholesale Market Services (WMS) is a core business line within the EDF UK Customers Business that is at the centre of helping Britain achieve Net Zero. It provides industry leading wholesale market services to EDF’s supply and generation business units and to third party energy asset owners. The team operates in a broad and diverse range of market segments including residential & business supply, nuclear, renewable & thermal generation and storage & flexible energy.

We are looking for a talented Reporting & Insights Lead to help transform data into valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making at the executive level.

What you’ll be doing

You will work closely with teams across the business to gather, verify and organise information from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and consistency. Utilising tools such as Power BI & Tableau, you’ll partner with our tech team to develop clear, dynamic reports and dashboards that showcase key insights and simplify complex data.  By presenting the data in a compelling way, you’ll help uncover trends, opportunities, and potential risks, supporting informed decision making.

As the Reporting & Insights Lead, you’ll cultivate strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor who challenges assumptions and shapes decisions through data-driven insights. Whether through reports, presentations, or visual storytelling, you’ll play a key role in promoting a culture of data driven decision making throughout the organisation.

You will develop a detailed understanding of WMS activities and performance, ensuring a consistent and coherent story is presented on a regular and ongoing basis.

Who you are

We are looking for somebody with the ability to accurately understand and present data to track performance and influence business decisions.

You will have experience of reporting and presenting data to senior stakeholders across a variety of subjects. Working closely with stakeholders of all levels, you will demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and adapt your communication style across different audiences ensuring concise delivery of complex information.

Additionally, integrity, confidentiality, and enthusiasm are crucial for this role. While expertise in every area isn’t required, a strong sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
