Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.

Our client is Kingfisher, a British multinational home improvement company, headquartered in London. The organization is currently expanding the Software Engineering team and, as part of this initiative, we are currently seeking a skilled Middle Software Engineer (Front-End) to join the Web team. 

Role Overview 

In this role, you will play an integral part in our innovative tech hub, engaging with various aspects of technology. The position is a hybrid one, based in Cluj, requiring office presence two days per week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in implementation of high-performance solutions based on a proper understanding of the client's business requirements. 
  • Collaborate with peers across different development teams. 
  • Ensure that the delivered product adheres to predetermined standards of quality. 
  • Follow the best practices and agreed coding standards (unit testing, integration test, component test). 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to developers at varying experience levels. 
  • Actively participate in every stage of the application development lifecycle. 

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in front-end services development (JavaScript / TypeScript) and frameworks (React / NextJS). 
  • Strong experience working with HTML and CSS. 
  • Experience working across the software development lifecycle. 
  • Experience utilizing agile and lean software engineering practices and techniques. 
  • Experience using Source Code Management (Git) and CI / CD tool chains to implement DevOps practices. 
  • Awareness and appreciation for the cloud platform capabilities (AWS / Azure / GCP) and experience building enterprise grade applications. 
  • Proven ability to interface with and guide partner teams and resources.
