Essential Functions for ABA Therapist

Work 1-1 with clients following individualized ABA treatment plans for children/adults with autism in the home settings.
Teach clients to acquire language, academic, social, and self-help skills under the supervision of a BCBA treatment plan
Implement programs and skills that are centered around helping the client reach their full potential Assist in creating new client projects and materials
Provide the client’s families with parent training to expand the client’s advancement opportunities. Have ongoing support and supervision in the field by BCBA level staff.
Assists in designing and implementing behavior analytic programming as it relates to “ABA-Verbal Behavior” skill acquisition and behavior management programming
Assists in creating, developing, and monitoring individualized programming
Maintains reliable and consistent schedules with families
Ensures requirements for documentation of clinical services are implemented
Adherence to BACB guidelines for ethical conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
1. 1+ years’ previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities, behavioral issues, or related field.
2. Excellent time management skills with experience managing a caseload.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong commitment to providing quality behavior analytic programming.
6. Enthusiastic, self-motivated to teach and learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis.
7. Enthusiastic and great desire to work to with children diagnosed with autism

9. Communication- Must communicate effectively to employees, clients; Must speak, write and read English at the necessary level to safely and competently perform all job duties
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a client home environment. Employees must feel comfortable going into client homes and neighborhoods within assigned territory.

This role is primarily sedentary, but is occasionally mobile. The incumbent is occasionally required to bend, stoop, reach, lift, walk and stand; and is regularly required to talk, hear, see and speak. Employees must be able to lift at least 30lbs.

This is a part-time or full-time position with varied hours based on client needs.
