VP of Engineering

Fitt Talent Partners is a specialized recruitment firm for top health and wellness companies. 

We’re filling this role for a client, a longevity-focused, preventative healthcare platform.

Job Description

We are looking for a VP of Engineering with the goal of driving velocity and scale.

You will work directly with the CTO and co-founders to scope product roadmap requirements, shape architecture decisions, and rapidly scale the engineering team.

The #1 trait we are looking for is the ability to drive velocity—removing constraints, parallelizing work, and moving faster than ever thought possible, bumping up against the laws of physics. Mission driven, and ready to work 60+ hours a week to build a generational company.

Responsibilities

  • Scale engineering culture – Build and lead an org that operates at high velocity.

  • Own architecture decisions – Balance speed, scalability, and reliability.

  • Define product roadmap – Work closely with the CTO and founders.

  • Manage velocity – Ensure rapid iteration cycles, Remove bottlenecks, accelerate shipping speed.

  • Hire top engineers – Build a high-performance technical team

Requirements

  • Consumer product experience – Built and scaled consumer-facing apps.

  • User obsession and taste – do you know what ‘insanely great’ looks like

  • Startup experience – Been through 0→1 and 1→100 at a high-growth company. Ok with ambiguity.

  • Engineering leadership – Scaled an engineering org beyond the founding team.

  • Technical & product intuition – Strong judgment on what to build vs. buy.

  • Velocity-focused – Moves at an extreme pace, unblocks and parallelizes work.

  • Based in San Francisco – Operates best in a fast-moving, in-person environment.
