As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering department by facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead, coach, and mentor a team of primarily intermediate or experienced professionals to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve yields on all products. Other primary responsibilities include career development, completion of staff performance appraisals, employee engagement, and resource / succession planning of team members. At General Dynamics Mission Systems we manufacture Beryllium products used in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance targeting and guidance systems, missile defense systems, space exploration, and satellites.
