As a Fraud Product Owner, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of fraud prevention and detection technologies within our fintech ecosystem. Your expertise in fraud prevention technologies will shape our fraud mitigation strategies, optimize fraud-related features, and ensure seamless integration of best-in-class solutions. Acting as a Fraud Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will manage vendor relationships, influence product roadmaps, and collaborate across teams to enhance fraud prevention capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and Prioritize Fraud Prevention Capabilities: Develop and maintain the fraud prevention product strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk mitigation needs.
  • Vendor Relationship & Roadmap Management: Own strategic partnerships with fraud technology vendors, driving roadmap discussions and advocating for feature enhancements.
  • Technology Integration & Optimization: Oversee the integration and optimization of fraud solutions such as Actimize, ThreatMetrix, FraudNet, Plaid, Pindrop, and Transmit Security, ensuring they enhance fraud detection and prevention.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Security Engineering, Product Management, and Risk teams to align fraud prevention solutions with HealthEquity’s overall technology landscape.
  • Feature Development & Workflow Design: Define requirements, drive implementation, and optimize fraud-related features, including workflow automation and risk modeling.
  • Fraud Domain Expertise: Provide insights on evolving fraud trends, emerging threats, and the latest fraud prevention technologies to guide decision-making.

What you will need to be successful

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within fintech or the financial industry, with a specialization in fraud prevention and detection.

  • Strong hands-on experience with fraud technologies like Actimize, ThreatMetrix, FraudNet, Plaid, Pindrop, or Transmit Security.

  • Ability to define and execute product roadmaps, prioritizing fraud prevention initiatives to balance security, compliance, and user experience.

  • Deep knowledge of fraud detection methodologies, fraud risk assessment, and fraud mitigation strategies.

  • Expertise in managing vendor relationships, negotiating product enhancements, and driving integration efforts.

  • Proficiency in Agile and SAFe methodologies, ensuring efficient backlog management and iterative product improvements.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) credentials are a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, including a hands-on understanding of database structures and fraud data analytics.

  • Experience with Aha! tools, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and proficiency with business and communications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Identity Access Management (IAM) technologies and the role of middleware in fraud prevention.

Salary Range

$96500.00 To $123000.00 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
