Foodservice Regional Sales Assistant (Phoenix, AZ)

 

FOODSERVICE REGIONAL SALES ASSISTANT – WESTERN REGION – PHOENIX SALES OFFICE (PHOENIX, AZ)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role of Foodservice Regional Sales Assistant includes but is not limited to general sales support for the entire region including the Director of Sales, five Foodservice Area Managers, one JOTS/Non-commercial Business Development Manager and the Western Region field sales team.  The incumbent will be responsible for interacting with all levels within the organization and demonstrating a high level of professionalism throughout those interactions.  

  • Provides Sales Administrative Support for the entire Western Foodservice Region.
  • Payroll Management.
  • P-Card Management for the Region.
  • Analytics Reporting.
  • Key Initiative Reporting via HDS.
  • Budget Assistance.
  • Distributor and Operator Support (GS1, POS, Pricing, FORGE).
  • Coordinates and inputs confirmation-based pricing in the Mainframe system on a bi-weekly and monthly basis.
  • Area Forum and Meeting Planning Assistance.
  • HAM Entry.
  • Salesforce Assistance and Support.
  • Office Supply Orders Management.
  • Gift Center Requests Management and Processing.
  • Various project support as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Manages all customer visits, requiring close work with the sales team, Culinary Collective and brand managers to ensure seamless execution and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintains Foodservice FORGE Database, including entering & approving FORGE contracts as needed per agreed upon guidelines.
  • Acts as a backup support person for other administrative positions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to type efficiently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Calendar and have basic internet navigation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential situations - position consistently requires demonstrated poise and diplomacy.

Preferred

  • Experience in FORGE, HDS, Hormel Mainframe systems.
  • Ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Candidates should possess and use the skills necessary to do a variety of tasks, activities and jobs including cross-training other jobs.  This will also include technical knowledge as it applies to the job.

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $18.25 - $25.50 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

Other components of Hormel Foods’ total compensation package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, discretionary annual merit increases, profit sharing, 401(k) with employer match, stock purchase plan, paid vacation, FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees, and more.
