Intern, Digital Media (1099 Contractor)

The Media Sales Coordinator Internship will support the Media Sales team by assisting in media planning, client communication, and campaign execution. Responsibilities include maintaining sales records, coordinating with internal teams for ad delivery, conducting market research, and preparing performance reports. Additionally, the role involves organizing sales materials, managing CRM systems, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient operations.

  • Primary Accountabilities: 

    Assist in Sales & Media Planning

    • Support the sales team in developing media proposals and presentations.

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.

    Maintain & Update Sales Records

    • Organize and update sales databases, CRM systems, and client contact lists.

    • Track sales activities and campaign progress.

    Support Campaign Execution

    • Coordinate with internal teams (creative, ad operations) to ensure timely delivery of advertising assets.

    • Assist in scheduling and monitoring ad placements across digital, social, and traditional media.

    Client Communication & Support

    • Help draft client emails, follow-ups, and recap reports.

    • Address minor client inquiries and escalate issues to senior team members as needed.

    Reporting & Performance Analysis

    • Gather campaign performance data from ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, programmatic dashboards, etc.).

    • Prepare reports and insights on ad effectiveness for internal and client reviews.

    Competitive & Industry Research

    • Monitor competitor campaigns and identify market opportunities.

    • Summarize key findings for the sales team to leverage in pitches.

    Administrative & Organizational Support

    • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take notes during team and client calls.

    • Organize campaign documentation and sales materials for easy access.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position

    • Bachelors degree in progress from college/university (graduate or undergraduate)

    • Prior internship or work experience in media, advertising or sales preferred.
