Product Manager - Retention

About ICG
ICG is a global holding company focused on buying & building digital properties that power frictionless online shopping experiences.

Our portfolio includes leading affiliate marketing platforms like Stylight and MyBestBrands. Retailers and e-commerce brands typically allocate ad spend across numerous channels, with Meta and Google dominating the landscape. ICG aims to disrupt this space by acquiring and then growing smaller, higher-potential platforms, offering retailers a powerful alternative for growth.

As the fastest-growing performance marketing network across Europe and the US, we drive over $250 million in annual sales for more than 3,000 merchants. ICG has 15 owned-and-operated properties spanning 15 markets in 7 languages, and we are redefining how brands connect with high-intent shoppers worldwide.

About this Role

About this Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager (User Growth/Retention) to take ownership of our signed-in user experience, with a focus on personalization, our mobile application, and CRM. After our team has acquired a user and driven their first purchase, you’ll focus on retaining that user and delivering them enough value that they keep coming back, building their lifetime value.

In this role, you’ll lead a cross-functional team of Software Engineers and own your roadmap, backlog, and KPIs, ensuring the product vision aligns with our business goals. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where you’ll have the autonomy to experiment, learn fast, and iterate.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive User Retention and Engagement: Own the user retention strategy, focusing on building a personalized and engaging signed-in experience. You’ll implement features that increase user activity, drive repeat users, and build long-term loyalty.

  • Lead Mobile App Personalization: Optimize and expand our mobile app features, tailoring the experience to individual user needs and preferences. You’ll leverage data and CRM insights to deliver personalized recommendations, push notifications, and in-app content that enhances user value.

  • Develop and Execute CRM Strategies: Collaborate closely with the content team to create and optimize communication touch points, such as push notifications, email campaigns, and in-app messaging, ensuring that users receive timely, relevant content.

  • Experiment and Optimize: Foster a culture of experimentation by running A/B tests, launching MVPs, and iterating on features based on performance and user feedback. You’ll use data-driven insights to inform and refine strategies, maximizing user retention and lifetime value.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead a team of Engineers & Designers, aligning efforts to deliver a seamless user experience across mobile and web platforms. You’ll define and prioritize the roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

  • Monitor Industry Trends: Stay current on trends in user retention, mobile app optimization, and personalization to continuously enhance the product experience and remain competitive.

About You

  • Proven Product Experience: you’ve successfully managed a B2C product with a focus on a personalized, signed-in experience. You have a track record of building and optimizing mobile applications.

  • Technical Understanding: you’re comfortable owning and grooming a backlog, and you know how to lead Engineers through sprint cycles with clear priorities. You don’t need to be able to code yourself, but should be able to help size & prioritize opportunities and diagnose problems.

  • Ownership Mentality: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You see what needs to be done and take accountability, even for tasks that aren’t officially “yours.”

  • Startup Environment: You enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic environment where things move fast and processes evolve quickly. You are okay with some things being very structured, and others being a little loose.

  • You are fluent in English and comfortable communicating primarily in English with team members around the world.

What We Can Offer You…

  • An opportunity to learn and grow more than you have in any of your previous roles! We are scaling quickly, and there's an incredible amount of work to be done on all fronts. We are a lean, scrappy team where everyone wears multiple hats and works closely together. You'll be able to work on projects and initiatives that interest you and expand your scope.

  • A flexible, remote/hybrid environment where you’ll have a lot of freedom and flexibility. We hire adults and treat them like adults.

  • 30 days of vacation per year, and the chance to work occasionally from our office in Split

  • The chance to have a meaningful impact on a business and see the results of your work.

What we can't offer you...

  • Perfect Work/Life Balance. Startups can be unpredictable — while we aim for balance, there will be times when evenings or weekends are necessary to keep things moving. We encourage you to manage your schedule and find ways to create balance that works for you.

  • A ton of people and resources. We operate lean and invest thoughtfully. This means you’ll need to get creative and wear multiple hats to get the job done — and we’re still figuring things out as we grow.

Our Process:

  1. Applications: we’ll review your application within 72 hours, and you’ll hear from us no matter what. We’re committed to transparency — if we need more time to decide, we’ll let you know. No ghosting.

  2. Interviews: you’ll meet with Brett first, followed by interviews with Corah (Director of Product, Hiring Manager) and 2-3 other team members. Our conversations will be a mix of behavioural questions, deep dives into your experience, and plenty of time for you to ask questions. Each session will last 30-60 minutes over Google Meet.

  3. Case Study: we’ll give you a real-world case study (compensated) to see how you think and solve problems. Afterward, we’ll have a working session to simulate what collaboration feels like at ICG.

  4. Offer: this is the fun part — we'll make an offer, and start getting ready for you to join us!

If you have any questions throughout the process, feel free to reach out to Brett. Thank you, and hopefully we talk soon!
