Engineering Maintenance Technician

Overview

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of the Johns Hopkins locations. Title: Engineering Maintenance Technician

Hours: 7a-3:30p 

Pay Rate: $29-$50 per hour

Responsibilities

Investigate building systems and documents operational data.  Prepares recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs and evaluations.  This work is performed under the general supervision of the Engineering Project Manager and under the technical oversight of engineers.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.  An AA degree is preferred.

5 years related work experience.

Specific training in the area of expertise (engineering and/or maintenance discipline) equivalent to 1 year of college; such training may be at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.

Keep current with changing technology and practices in the industry.

 

Knowledge:

Basic, current knowledge of specialties listed below, as well as the relevant local, state, federal, and regulatory stipulations and codes.
