Desktop Support Engineer

Position: Desktop Support EngineerWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical support and ensure seamless IT operations for our organization.Responsibilities: As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal performance of desktop systems. You will install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, both remotely and on-site, and providing timely and effective support to users. You will also manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring security and compliance with company policies. Additionally, you will document technical procedures, assist with IT projects, and stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.• Requirements:• 3-5 years of experience in desktop support or a related IT role.• Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.• Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.• Excellent customer service and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar.Experience with remote desktop support tools.Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
