Drupal Back End Developer- Acquia Certified (Primarily Remote)

Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced and Acquia-certified Drupal Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building, maintaining, and scaling Drupal websites, with a strong focus on back-end architecture, integrations, and performance optimization. You will play a key role in designing and implementing complex solutions while collaborating with front-end developers, designers, and project stakeholders. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is primarily remote with occasional travel to Reston, VA.


Responsibilities:
  • Module Development: Develop custom Drupal modules using PHP and Drupal APIs to meet client requirements.
  • Site Architecture: Plan and implement scalable and secure site architecture in Drupal.
  • System Integration: Integrate Drupal applications with third-party services, APIs, and tools such as CRMs, payment gateways, and marketing platforms.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and enhance site performance through caching, database tuning, and other optimization techniques.
  • Content Workflow: Design and configure robust content workflows, permissions, and roles for scalable content management.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality by following best practices, performing code reviews, and writing automated tests.
  • Security: Implement security best practices and address vulnerabilities in the Drupal ecosystem.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and user guides.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless and functional solutions.
