Leidos’ Defense Systems Mechanical Design and Analysis Department is seeking a Cable Designer to work onsite at our team’s Huntsville, AL location where we design our nation’s most critical defense systems.

Primary Responsibilities
Your daily tasking will generally include selecting the right cable components, performing 3D routing, and documenting this data on 2D drawings. You will maintain drawing release schedules and ensure project deadlines are met. You will interface with other design engineers and manufacturing technicians to resolve any design issues during cable production. You will create cable designs in accordance with DOD and commercial standards.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience in cable design, routing in 3D CAD systems, component selection, and 2D drawing creation.
Demonstrated experience with configuration control of cable designs or electro-mechanical assemblies.
Experience working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Must be a resident of the Huntsville, Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area
Possess a secret clearance, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in cable design, routing in 3D CAD systems, component selection, and 2D drawing creation.
