UI/UX Business Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA
Position Type: Remote 
Contract Length: 8 months

Position Overview:

Seeking an UI/UX Business Analyst with minimum 5 years’ experience to work with an existing software development team in an agile/scrum environment.  

Duties:
  • Collaborate with an existing software development team in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Review and edit:

    • Requirements and specifications

    • Business processes

    • Recommendations related to in-development solutions

  • Prepare:

    • Functional and non-functional specifications

    • Use cases

    • System design specifications

  • Facilitate:

    • Effective Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions

    • Brainstorming workshops

  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements

Required Skills:
  • 5 years of proven experience working as a business systems analyst on medium to large projects.

  • 5 years of experience communicating and collaborating with agile delivery teams, technical staff, business partners, and vendors.

  • 5 years of experience accurately defining and capturing project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • 5 years of experience documenting business processes and creating data flow diagrams.

  • 5 years of experience writing UAT test scripts from use cases and performing UAT testing proficiently.

  • 5 years of experience identifying and documenting project risks, along with actions to mitigate those risks.

  • 5 years of experience tracking requirements throughout the full SDLC lifecycle.

  • 5 years of strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, VISIO, Draw.io, Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, and Confluence.

  • 5 years of analytical experience applying logic and reasoning to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of different solutions, conclusions, and problem-solving approaches.

  • 5 years of demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • 5 years of excellent client-facing and internal communication experience.

  • 5 years of excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • 5 years of solid organizational experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

  • 5 years of experience with preferred certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe certifications.


Preferred Skills:
  • 4 years of experience in elections-related environments is strongly preferred.
