MDU Account Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) Sales Account Manager at LiveOak Fiber is responsible for managing client accounts, building and maintaining relationships with property managers, building owners, and stakeholders in the MDU market, and driving the adoption of LiveOak Fiber services. This role focuses on generating new business, expanding account penetration, and contributing to revenue goals through strategic relationship management and sales execution. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, the MDU Sales Account Manager ensures seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction by collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying attuned to industry trends.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Account Management and Relationship Building

•Serve as the primary liaison between the company and assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of service and support.

•Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, building owners, HOAs, and other MDU stakeholders.

•Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss account performance, gather feedback, and identify growth opportunities.


2.New Business Development

•Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the MDU segment, including lead generation and conducting sales presentations.

•Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share within assigned territories.


3.Sales Negotiation and Contract Management

•Lead and assist with contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that align with company objectives.

•Oversee contract renewals, manage compliance for existing accounts, and assist in preparing contracts for new acquisitions.


4.Strategic Account Planning

•Develop and execute account plans to expand penetration, increase revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction.

•Monitor account performance, identify issues, and proactively provide solutions.


5.Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

•Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform sales strategies.

•Utilize insights to refine pricing decisions and competitive positioning.


6.Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to align on sales strategies and service delivery.

•Collaborate with the customer support and service teams to address issues and ensure smooth installations and satisfaction.


7.Reporting and Performance Metrics

•Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and account growth metrics.

•Use CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to maintain accurate records of sales activities, custom-er interactions, and account details.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Strong knowledge of the MDU market and understanding of sales strategies specific to multi-dwelling units.

•Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including property managers and building owners.

•Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

•Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.

•Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.

•Ability to work independently and travel frequently within assigned territories.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

•5+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in telecommunications or a related industry.

•Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.

•Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

•Experience in the telecommunications, fiber optics, or internet service provider (ISP) industry.

•Knowledge of fiber optic technology and related services.

•Familiarity with the MDU sales process and property management industry standards.

•Relevant sales certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional - CSP).
