LMI is seeking an experienced Civil/ Structural Engineer to support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are seeking an energetic self-starter who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team. This individual will support the design and construction of our client’s tactical technology infrastructure projects along the southwest border. The civil/ structural engineer will provide support to the client’s program management office, located in Washington, D.C. Travel required.

As a Civil/ Structural Engineer you will help assist a federal agency execute its tactical technology infrastructure design and construction activities along the borders of the United States. Responsible for supporting the Government in the implementation of design standards, and design reviews during the project planning, design, and construction phases to ensure the Government standards are followed. Responsible for review of design plans or work with designers and contractors to make sure the Government, state, and local regulations, codes, directives and standards are met. A background in design and or construction management is highly desired. The candidate shall have strong communication and organizational skills and an “easy to work” personality.
