Procurement Specialist

Our Ways of Working Principles:

We believe that most of us do our best work when we work together, but we know that everyone works in different ways, and quite frankly, has other commitments and responsibilities outside of work.

As we further adjust  to hybrid working, we want to take what we've learnt from working remotely and keep the flexibility that's enabled us to thrive and keep driving our business forward.

We have some core principles which support us in this:

Do what’s right

Trust & give permission

Delivery matters

We understand ways of working can look different based on your role, team and you as an individual so we are here to support and discuss this with you during the interview process.

At Moonpig Group our mission is to help people connect and create moments that matter. We were founded with a goal to disrupt the traditional greetings industry and two decades on, we’re an established leader within the online gifting market, offering a wide range of products to customers across the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is all about variety! You’ll be running the sourcing activity for a digital marketing partner one day, renewing our cloud computing service licences another, and negotiating prices for tonnes of sustainable cards the next.  We are a fast paced and enthusiastic team putting our stakeholders at the centre of what we do. At the same time we keep a keen eye on compliance and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with the Senior Procurement Manager to support all procurement activity across the Group.
  • Delivering  contract renewals and sourcing activity across all categories.
  • As a listed company, our focus is on compliance and due diligence. We work together with our Legal, Security and DPO teams to ensure we have robust controls in place with our supplier relationships, both new and old.
  • Working to deliver savings against budget and liaising with business stakeholders to define requirements and run sourcing activity.
  • Focus on sustainability in the coming year, and ensure our suppliers work in a sustainable manner supporting the company ESG strategy.
  • Providing ongoing support to key stakeholders across assigned categories.
  • Focus on continuously shaping and developing assigned categories for maximum success.

You’ll be a good fit for the Procurement team if you:
  • Have previous indirect procurement experience (contract renewals, sourcing and RFPs, category planning and tail-end management).
  • Are a solid procurement generalist, working across multiple categories.
  • Are a master at managing your own workload and can prioritise projects effectively.
  • Identify as a self-starter who is determined to grow and progress in a role.
  • Ideally have, or are working towards your CIPS qualifications.
  • Consider yourself to be organised and confident in liaising with multiple internal teams to deliver a project.
  • Love delivering for your stakeholders and getting the job done, but can manage expectations to deliver in the right way.
