Maintenance (Grounds/Mowing) Event Staff - Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN

Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted “Best NASCAR Track” by readers of USA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.

The compensation range for this position is: $15.50-$25.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
•    Operate equipment of all types as directed and maintain equipment as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the facility.
•    Maintain landscaped areas as required to achieve desired results in the overall appearance of the facility.
•    Clean grounds, including but not limited to, removal of trash and litter, year-round.
•    Operate equipment of all types as directed and maintain equipment as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of facility.
•    Hang and dismantle signage, banners, etc., as needed.
•    Dig ditches with a shovel, trencher, and/or backhoe.
•    Repair tools, water lines, fences, gates, walls, walkways, and buildings and perform necessary general maintenance as directed.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
•    Minimum 18 years of age.
•    Valid Driver’s License.
•    Successfully pass a driving record check. (Preferred, not required).
•    Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
•    Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
