The Role: Social Media Marketer
Oceans is seeking talented candidates in Sri Lanka to become Social Media Marketers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to build engaged communities
  • Identify target audiences and create tailored content to engage and grow the community
  • Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging content (images, video, and text) for various social media platforms
  • Develop content calendars to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • Foster a positive community and add value to followers by actively engaging in conversations, answering questions, and managing feedback
  • Identify and engage with brand advocates and influencers to expand reach and visibility
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, impressions, clicks, conversions, etc.) using marketing tools and platforms
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and making data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure all social media content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and tone across platforms
  • Stay up-to-date on platform policies, best practices, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and maximize effectiveness
  • Language: Professional fluency in English, with superb communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing
  • Essential Skills
    • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) 
    • Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc.).
    • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas
    • Proficiency with graphic design; video editing skills are a plus
    • Understanding of UGC strategies
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant work experience
