Your Career

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the development and positioning of joint security solutions with IBM Consulting. As an experienced Solution Architect, you will be responsible for working directly with the Managing Director at Palo Alto Networks for the IBM partnership; to define, build and deliver creative technical enablement plans while driving technical go-to-market (GTM) strategies with IBM. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams, partners, and customers. Your work will directly contribute to expanding our security solutions and enhancing customer adoption of Palo Alto Networks’ technology, with a focus on Next Generation Security.

  • This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive strategic security solutions in collaboration with IBM, helping organizations enhance their security posture with cutting-edge technology
  • Lead the technical solution-building process, from initial strategy discussions to creating service playbooks and technical guides
  • Develop and position unique solution offerings in collaboration with IBM and Palo Alto Networks teams
  • Drive the technical GTM strategy for joint solutions with IBM, working closely with business development, sales, offer creation and engineering teams
  • Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing security architectures, focusing on SOC, SIEM, Cloud Security and EDR solutions
  • Support hands-on technical configuration, prototyping, and lab development as needed
  • Manage enablement activities for IBM Consulting, ensuring their teams are well-versed in Palo Alto Networks’ security offerings
  • Evangelize Palo Alto Networks’ enterprise security platform, articulating its business value to IBM and customers
  • Collaborate with sales engineers, channel managers, and account teams to drive revenue growth through solution adoption
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IBM stakeholders, leading “partner peering” exercises for deeper engagement
  • Identify emerging security challenges and contribute to future solution strategies

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 10+ years of experience working with systems integrators and enterprise customers in a technical capacity
  • Expertise in SOC, SIEM, EDR, and cloud security solutions, with hands-on experience in architecture, design, and implementation
  • Proven track record in selling, demonstrating, and deploying enterprise security solutions across cloud and SOC environments
  • Strong experience in solution creation, working with product teams and partners to develop joint offerings
  • Deep understanding of enterprise security trends, competitive solutions, and business drivers
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present complex security solutions to both technical and executive audiences
  • Strong understanding of technical partnerships and GTM strategies, particularly in working with Global System Integrators (GSIs)
  • A technical degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent)
  • Prior IBM and Palo Alto Networks experience is a plus

Additional Information

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $186000/YR - $255000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
