Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

Our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Tech to join our team for our 1st shift operation. The ideal candidate will work in our machine shop, collaborating with engineering and design teams to set up all jobs for production and ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CNC set-up for 1st shift operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure efficient machine setup for production jobs.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the CNC machine process.
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines for various tasks.
  • Read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and other specifications to understand job requirements.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
  • Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs that meet specifications.
  • Set up machines to complete full production cycles as required.
  • Diagnose machine operations, make adjustments to processes and programs to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Perform daily machine checks and maintenance to ensure proper functionality.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a CNC Class "A" technician.
  • Proficient in operating CNC machinery and using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and solid math skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a results-driven approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Apprenticeship completion is a plus.


Nice to Have:
  • Computer-savvy with an understanding of G&M code programming.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software.
