Position Summary

 Center for Creative Works (CCW), a licensed Progressive Art Studio day program,  seeks a full time, management level Program Specialist to work in our studio arts program with talented and dedicated artists with intellectual disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference working with a highly creative team building identities and vocations in the arts for our participants.  CCW is a nationally recognized professional arts program developing and promoting aspiring and established neurodiverse artists.  CCW's program specialists engage people in their pursuit to professionally expand their creative skills, build relationships with peers, work on community engagement, and  contribute as artists in their communities and beyond. This studio is located in Wynnewood PA on a bus line and a ten minute walk from a Septa regional rail station. We are a caring, tight team and will work hard to make you feel welcome and supported!

Essential Duties and Functions

Administrative

  • Ensures that HIPPA regulations are complied with and that all paperwork and required documentation is completed in a timely, thorough, accurate manner as per regulations 
  • Ensures incident reports are complete, accurate and timely with corrective action taken when necessary · Input all reportable incidents and follow-up into EIM 
  • Participates in audits and ensures all license requirements of the program participant are met, service definitions for unlicensed home and community rehab and respite services meet funder and community standards. 
  • Maintains client files that include annual assessments and Individual Support Plans, as well as any supporting documents as per applicable regulations. 
  •  coordinates all communication for the consumers with individuals, family members, day programs, Behavior Consultants, SC’s and other outside entities, such as the Social Security Administration, Medical Insurance Companies, etc.
  • Oversee the quality of programmatic plans, community access, and necessary services and supports that are provided meet the participants’ needs and preferences.
  • Create, review      and implement individual outcomes and action steps to monitor participant      progress and all other documentation in respect to the 2390 regulations.
  • Assist      participants in determining what outcomes, volunteer opportunities, work      experiences would meet 

Staff Support

  • Trains teaching staff in the individual support plans as well as mentor them in day-to-day implementation and documentation.

Client Support

  • Creates an environment that empowers individuals through the development of skills and coordination of resources and supportive services.
  • Create ISP’s and advocate for consumers with input from program management and consumer's team to identify service needs and goals, to ensure that such goals are accurately documented in the ISP; and to monitor ISP progress.
  • Write instructional plans for the implementation of goals, objectives, and outcomes to implement consumer long and short-term goals and train all staff in the implementation of ISPs annually
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Essential Duties Addendum

  • Work with CCW instructors and artists in a person centered environment to develope plans centered on the artistic growth of each each person. 

 

Qualifications

   

  • Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university in      (preferred) Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation,      Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy,      Therapeutic Recreation or other human services field.*

OR

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in      (preferred) Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation,      Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy,      Therapeutic Recreation or other human services field; and 1 year      experience working directly with disabled persons.*

OR

  • Associate's degree or completion of a 2-year program from an      accredited college or university in (preferred)Special Education,      Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology,      Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or other human      services field; and 3 years experience working directly with disabled      persons. *

OR


  • License or certification by the State Board of Nurse Examiners, the      State Board of Physical Therapists Examiners, or the Committee on      Rehabilitation Counselor Certification or be a licensed psychologist or      registered occupational therapist; and 1 year experience working directly      with disabled persons.*

* A degree in an art field may be substituted for the degrees listed here if a candidate also has significant experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
