Head of Data and Analytics

The Role


RevolutionParts is seeking a Head of Data and Analytics who has a deep understanding of eCommerce and best practices that drive success across various functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, People).  The ideal candidate has experience developing and leading data architecture, governance, analytics, and insights to support data-driven decision-making across all areas of the business.


Please note: We are specifically seeking candidates who have a background in Engineering. If your resume does not display a strong engineering and data engineering background, then we cannot consider you for the role.


Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all things data - how we land, enrich, and get data into our lake and warehouse so every team can make data-driven decisions and trust reports are clean and make sense.
  • Partner with all stakeholders and leaders to make sure that the data needed is available to our product, business analysts, and both internal and external customers and partners, and the data adheres to the definitions. 
  • Oversee a team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and BI Analysts so you have a good understanding of how to build and design modern ingest to insights platforms. 
  • Oversee an analytics team that creates and manages dashboards and reports for monitoring KPIs across all areas of the business.
  • Prepare clear and concise communications (e.g., documents, presentations) to present findings and recommendations to internal partners.
  • Partner with almost every team to ensure we capture the data needed to understand business performance and consult on data infrastructure strategy.


Requirements:
  • Extensive experience (ideally around 10 years) in data stewardship with an emphasis on data governance and quality
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, data science, or statistics
  • Understanding of how to build a data practice for an eCommerce business with many customers, including the ability to articulate processes, data governance, and to get technical with ETL pipelines and technologies
  • Extensive experience in eCommerce
  • Experience implementing and managing data ingestion and data analytics projects, including budgeting, timeline, and resource management
  • Strong technical skills, including but not limited to multidimensional data extraction and aggregation capabilities using SQL, Python, R, Excel, Athena, Looker, or other like tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate challenging analysis requests to come up with the best approach to solving a problem
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, and communicate complex data insights in a clear, understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders


Nice to haves:
  • Experience and understanding of how to leverage AI to enrich data
  • Professional certifications like Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or specific tool certifications (e.g., for Tableau, AWS, Google Cloud)


$185,000 - $210,000 a year
