Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (US Only)
Compensation: $120,000 - $125,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Reports to: Senior Director of Business Intelligence, Infrastructure and Operations
Served with Honor is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring the availability, efficiency, and reliability of our data processing systems. In this role, you will optimize data storage and retrieval processes and build scalable, robust data pipelines for analysis. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that transform and streamline data for better decision-making.

What You’ll Do:
Data Pipeline Development:
Design, build, implement, and maintain ETL data processing pipelines using Azure Stack to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Develop scalable solutions to transform data into useful formats for analysis, enhancing data flow and making data easier to consume and analyze for end users.
Database and Data Infrastructure:
Write complex SQL queries to support data analysis and business needs.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical data pipeline solutions.
Work with a variety of data stores, including data lakes, relational databases, and data warehouses, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility.
Tool and Technology Management:
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools and technologies for data infrastructure and processing.
Work with tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Azure Blob, ALDS2, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, etc.
Collaboration and Innovation:
Partner with key stakeholders to develop solutions that enhance data flow and ensure the reliability and scalability of the data pipeline infrastructure.
Continuously improve the data pipeline process by identifying and solving complex problems.
Independent Work:
Work with minimal supervision, applying independent judgment to solve complex, high-impact issues while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
Manage tasks effectively, working autonomously and collaboratively within the team.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience:
6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar field, with strong experience in data pipeline creation and optimization.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
5+ years of experience with Azure Stack, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and building data lakes (ALDS2) with Blob Storage pipelines.
Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
Hands-on experience with data modeling, database design, and working with structured and unstructured data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Expected Compensation:
$120,000 - $125,000 annual salary, plus comprehensive benefits. Pay offered will depend on market location, experience, and qualifications. Additional details about benefits will be shared upon offer.
