Responsibilities

Sign-On Bonus $30K*

 

Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.

 

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the comprehensive delivery of both direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative environment, employing the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role extends across diverse patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Coordination of Care: Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring cohesive patient management.

Leadership and Guidance: Direct and support the OR Technician and other personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Interdepartmental Collaboration: Engage with various departments to facilitate a seamless continuum of care and enhance patient flow.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies.

Performance Improvement Participation: Actively engage in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and professional development in-services.

Resource Availability: Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues, offering guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance.3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.5. Minimum of one-year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $45.48 to $68.40. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
