Job Description:

This role combines the responsibilities of a traditional desktop support engineer/Systems Administrator, focusing on maintaining and troubleshooting user workstations, with the added responsibility of managing the lifecycle of all IT hardware and software assets within an organization, including tracking inventory, ensuring proper licensing, and coordinating asset disposal.


What you'll do:
  • Desktop Support:
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals. 
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights. 
  • Performing system updates, patches, and security configuration. 
  • Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions. 
  • Identifying and resolving performance issues on desktop environments. 

  • IT Asset Management:
  • Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and serial numbers. 
  • Tracking asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including warranty management and depreciation schedules. 
  • Implementing and enforcing asset tagging and labeling procedures. 
  • Monitoring software license compliance and managing renewals. 
  • Coordinating asset allocation and reassignment to users. 
  • Generating reports on asset utilization and cost analysis.


Required Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems and common desktop applications. 
  • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair procedures. 
  • Familiarity with network protocols and connectivity 
  • Understanding of IT security best practices 

  • Asset Management Skills:
  • Experience with IT asset management software
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports on asset usage 
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills 

  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users at all levels 
  • Problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests effectively 
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work with other IT teams 


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Experience with system management tools (Azure, Active Directory, JIRA)
  • Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document procedures and technical knowledge clearly
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with users and other IT teams 


$92,798 - $139,198 a year

Full-time regular employee offer package:

Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + Equity


Temporary employee offer package:

Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)


Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check. Military fellows and part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
