Job Description

The Staff Accountant will perform balance sheet account reconciliations, create and post journal entries, review and analyze financial statements, and perform many of the day-to-day Finance activities.  The Accountant will report to the Controller and will work with the Assistant Controller and Staff accountant as well as Finance and Operational Team members in the US and Canada. 

Job duties to include but are not limited to:
 

  • Maintaining, reconciling, and analyzing assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue, cost of sales and margin for programs and service monthly.
  • Processing of journal entries and adjustments in relation to accounts included above, which will also require working with the Financial Services Department throughout the fiscal month.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for various tax returns, Federal, state income tax, personal property tax annually.
  • Support internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with policy and procedures
  • Supporting internal controls framework and maintaining internal control documentation in relation to the general ledger
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
 

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • ERP experience, SAP Preferred
  • Intermediate or above User of Excel and Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong analytical skills, motivated, able to meet required deadlines, and detail-oriented

Background:                

This position may require Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. If required, applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation. This position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance.

The compensation for this position ranges from $55,140.00 - $128,660.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
