Role: Recruiter 

Location: This role will be remote in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii

Reports to: Sr. Director, TA & DEIB

Eligibility:  Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required. The Trevor Project will not sponsor a work visa for this role.

Classification: Non-exempt Full Time

Work Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm local time

Salary Range: $31 per hour



Summary: 


As a recruiter, your primary responsibility is to identify, attract, and hire qualified candidates for various job positions within The Trevor Project. You will play a vital role in shaping the organization's workforce by ensuring that the right individuals are selected to meet the company's needs and goals.


You will represent Trevor to potential candidates, showcasing our values, culture, and opportunities for growth. Your ability to effectively communicate Trevor’s mission and vision will work to attract top talent. In this role, you will also manage relationships with various stakeholders involved in the recruitment process to ensure collaboration and create an efficient process for all. 


You will rely on data to make informed decisions throughout the recruitment process. By analyzing and interpreting relevant data, you will gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of different recruitment strategies, the performance of candidates, and the overall success of your recruitment efforts. You will leverage data to support forecasting hiring needs and identifying potential talent gaps within the organization. By analyzing historical data and considering factors such as turnover rates, business growth projections, diversity metrics, and industry trends, you will proactively plan and implement recruitment strategies to meet the organization's talent requirements.


Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications
  • Screen resumes and CVs and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final-offer negotiation
  • Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other designations
  • Develop search strategies focused on industry and market research, diversity in the talent pool, target companies and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Serve as an advisor to business leaders and hiring managers to execute the talent strategy and selection of candidates.
  • Enhance the experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Management to ensure smooth on-boarding of new employees as they transition from a “candidate” to an “employee”.
  • Conduct market research to identify relevant talent and recruit them for opportunities while providing a high-touch candidate experience.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of talent acquisition experience, with a track record of successfully sourcing and hiring top talent.
  • Experience with high-volume recruiting 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated successful planning and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to multitask and work well within tight timelines
  • Proven ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Experience with Lever or other ATS systems; experience with CRM or similar candidate management systems
  • Comfortable corresponding with candidates and hiring managers via phone call, video call, Slack and email
  • Commitment to acting as  a brand ambassador for Trevor and our mission 


$31 - $31 an hour
