Game Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

Your life at Ubi

As a Game Intelligence Analyst, your main mission is to provide reports and data insights on game features that will help improve the player experience on our games.

You will be interacting with various stakeholders (Game Designers, Marketing and Finance) that are interested in game-based analytics, gather, and understand their needs and use a specific palette of tools to extract and report the findings.

 

Your main mission

  • Use SQL to interrogate large databases and create scripts to obtain results that can answer various business questions, 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Tableau dashboards that support the activities of the operational and strategic game teams, 
  • Build ETLs using the dedicated tool to support the automation of Tableau reports, 
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns by monitoring the available metrics and dashboards, 
  • Convey the results of these analyses via different reporting tools, highlighting the most relevant information in an easy to read and understand manner, 
  • Analyze the causality relation between the in-game content, marketing campaigns and acquisition, retention and monetization. 
  • Understand the game features and design new tracking events in accordance with internal technical standards, that will be used to answer business questions in relation to those features,  
  • Update internal documentation with the details of the new events, 
  • Work alongside design team and gameplay programmers to make sure the new events are implemented correctly and that are reliable to use in game analysis. 
  • Develop in-depth analytical understanding of what drives growth for the product and how it can be improved through our acquisition, monetization and player engagement activities. 
  • Leverage player and market data to identify opportunities for the product and brand. Support the business growth via analysis, forecasts, performance reporting and data driven recommendations.

  • Extensive experience working with relational databases and SQL, 
  • Experience in working with high volumes of data, 
  • Experience in Tableau software, 
  • Experience with report creation for different categories of stakeholders, 

Nice to have:  

  • Python & Spark knowledge, 
  • Experience in the video game industry, 
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical tools for analyzing datasets, 
  • Technical expertise regarding data models and data mining.
